Dark City
Synopsis
Towards the end of the XXI century, Emiliopolis is one of the dark never-ending polluted megalopolis which forms a mega state called Euroamerica.
This is a high-tech deceptive democracy based on patterned thought, on a new language called High-Tech-English and on the most conservative American social model.
The metropolis is menaced by an imminent terror attack plotted by the IOUE, the Islamic Oriental United Emirates, the great fundamentalist caliphate which has united all the former Muslim countries, in constant conflict with Euroamerica.
Dick, an extra-staff special agent and a writer, is in charge of the case. His existence is marked by a heavy burden which makes him insensible to risk.
The investigation takes him around the world, from one side to the other of the only remaining borderline.
As detection proceeds, Dick is trapped in a much bigger game than he thought, which leads him to the discovery of a series of top-secret realities of the world in which he lives.
So he becomes a target himself, unable to tell friends from foes, whom he has to run away from. He then realizes that the only chance for himself and his city to survive is to reveal the world the terrible secrets he has discovered, in a desperate race against time and against everything, with the feeble hope that writing might still save the world from Apocalypse.

Runaway - fuga a Venezia
Synopsis
An actor with a gun in one hand and a movie film in the other is running away in the streets of Modena and Bologna. He must reach the Venice Film Festival as soon as possible but he is chased by strange characters. He feels something is wrong in the matter and, not knowing what to do, he decides to contact the author of the story… This novella is a parody of, and a homage to, hard-boiled novels, the noir genre and road movies.
Professor Bingo's Saga
In 2000, the character of Professor Bingo appears for the first time in two novels, Professor Bingo and Professor Bingo and the New Advancing World. He is a tragicomic antihero and the prototype of stoic resistance to the disintegration of the world of education; he is also the metaphor of the ‘outfit’ that, by not accepting the rules imposed by society, has to be marginalized. In 2006 the character returns in the collection of short stories This School is not an Enterprise! and in The Ides of March (2008). These stories depict the contemporary ‘school-company’ in a critical and satirical way. In 2010 the articles written by the author in various magazines and websites over the past decade were published in the volume Professor Bingo’s Pills 2000/2010 – Ten Years Lived dangerously within the Italian School System. In 2018 the theatre piéce The Factory of Stupidity was printed.
